Bay of Islands Hole in the Rock Tour in New Zealand
Piercy Island or "The Hole In The Rock", is located off the north coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is actually known as one of the most important islands in the Bay of Islands for animal conservation, with close to 100 types of flora.
The hole in the rock rock is all natural, and world famous for people to awe at its magnificence., and is a must see sight in all of New Zealand. A great tour option and one that I personally recommend is to take a tour with Fullers Great Sights- Dolphin Bay of Islands Tour. You can either drive to Paihia or take a bus with Great Sights from Auckland to Paihia to catch the boat. Their team is local to the area and do a great job showcasing the wonders of the region , including cruises to the famous “Hole in the Rock”, dolphin watching/swimming cruises and day tours to the Hokianga, Kerikeri, Russell and Cape Reinga via 90 Mile Beach.
The route from Pahia takes you through the blue-green waters of a harbour of islands with more history and intrigue than any other place in New Zealand.
During the boat tour, you can sight jumping wild dolphins, seas, and even some whales in you’re lucky. It was one of my favorite tours during my trip. A must do in New Zealand.
