First Look Inside The Daytona Hotel’s Upscale Dining Experience
Speed. That’s what comes to many people’s minds when they think of Daytona, home of the heart racing epic Daytona 500. The newest hotel in Daytona called The Daytona Marriott Autograph Collection, has just opened this year in April, right across the street from Daytona’s International Speedway.
The Daytona Hotel did not hold back on the beautiful thought provoking details in their design. From the black metal silverware selected for the restaurants, to the mid century lighting, and the full sized race cars showcased in the main lobby, it’s a hotel that you will never forget, and truly one of a kind. Whether you are visiting Daytona for business, the beaches, or an event, The Daytona Hotel will amplify your traveling experience. They are one of the few full service hotels across the International Speedway, with an incredible full service bar and high- end restaurant.
Sir Malcom Restaurant & Blue Flame Bar
We had the honor to be invited to try The Daytona Hotel’s signature menu items from the hotel’s restaurant called Sir Malcom, named after Sir Malcolm Campbell, a British racing motorist famed for setting land speed records in Daytona. We also checked out their sleek and elegant bar called Blue Flame. The restaurant’s menu was designed by Executive Chef Jason Ward , and offer whimsical, unique, and retro themed food that will knock your socks off and take you through a real journey.
Sir Malcom’s dishes and cocktails pay homage to the energy of the raceway. What’s on the menu? Signature plates like chili shrimp corn dogs with miso mustard, house-made cornbread served with Moonshine butter, anddulce de leche waffles with smoked bourbon ice cream. Yum!
